Our collective call to action to decision holders:
Recognise and act on the risks faced by cancer patients, especially the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions and those from populations with existing barriers to accessing information, services, and care.
Recognise the disruption to essential, non-COVID health services, like cancer prevention and control, through protected funding and staffing of essential cancer and palliative care services.
Support high quality research to be inclusive of non-COVID health impacts and to shape policy making and recovery planning.
Plan for health system recovery in the context of a holistic approach towards more resilient, integrated models of care and health financing in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and aspirations of the universal health care.
